A love song to firey autumn and magical beings.
Depicting a great Ash tree with its red leaves swirling in the wind whilst bright comets spin and rotate, (and alluding to fireworks on Bonfire Night in November). Redwings swoop down, returning to their winter home in the UK. My beloved white cat Circe walks through the landscape, bringing her own sun, whilst her alchemical alter ego cat eats hers. Comets with eyes, wings with stars, magic and nature combined in a chorus of colour and movement.
This is a large A2 giclee print and has been printed so that the colours sing and pop with oranges, red and magentas. The first image is an accurate depiction of the colour intensity. I've included photos of the making of the collage too before it was complete.
The original collage has been made with a combination of paste paper (a technique where flour and water is mixed with pigment to create textures) and my original linoprints which I have cut out with a scalpel. *Please note that this is a print of the collage, not the original.
