Super Seconds festival listing: Swatch of 100% silk with hand printed motifs

Super Seconds Festival are products sold at a reduced price as they may be slight seconds, or trial pieces.

A swatch of beautiful orange silk, handprinted on half with light grey comets.

This was made as an experiment for Speedball using their inks, and was featured as part of an Instagram takeover where I handprinted on fabric for a week. The fabric inks have been sealed through washing so will not run in the wash.

I never got the chance to complete this print, but it works well as a swatch of silk that could be hemmed and made into a scarf. It is quite thin, but very long. As it is printed by hand, the natural faded areas of some prints are part of the beauty of handprinting.
