Uneven gold in on phoenix's wing. Please refer to the photograph.
A hand carved and hand printed linocut depicting the Phoenix in a Myrrh tree amidst a starry Moroccan sky.
Available in a beautiful metallic gold on heavyweight black card, the gold shimmers when it catches the light. Each colour is limited to an edition of 25.
The myth of the Phoenix tells the story of rebirth and resurrection; the creature makes it's nest with fragrant woods, and embalms it's egg in Myrrh, ready to be reborn.
